About Yellow Door Portadown Ltd:- The Yellow Door began life as a fine dining restaurant in Gilford, Co.Down in 1992. Due to demand for a more informal food offering the Yellow Door Deli opened in Portadown in 1997. The restaurant was later sold and the deli and bakery business expanded, giving rise to other delis and a busy outside catering business. We have a great team, and lots of family! Simon Dougan runs the deli in Portadown, the outside catering business, and the newest addition to the family, Native by Yellow Door at the MAC. Andrew (his cousin) opened the delis in Belfast and Lisburn and runs the catering at the Ulster Museum and for Ulster Rugby. Gary (Andrew’s brother) runs the wholesale side of the business supplying discerning restaurants all over Ireland with daily deliveries of fresh bread and patisserie. Jilly (Simon’s wife) manages the Yellow Door kitchen garden and other growing projects at our outlets. There are a plethora of other Dougans working in the Yellow Door, everywhere from the accounts department to the kitchens and the pastry section. It gets a bit manic at times but the one thing that unites everyone is a passion for fabulous, locally produced food, and a desire to get the very best out of it. | ||
